And another one.

A Trama das Coisas brings together paintings that explore memory, everyday life, and family heritage. Through still life and the incorporation of cross-stitch patterns, the series connects the objects that surround my present life with the traditions of embroidery and sewing passed down through generations of women in my family. Most of the works are painted on unprimed cotton fabric, a material traditionally used for embroidery, reinforcing the dialogue between painting and textile practices.

By revisiting the still-life genre, the series also reflects on a form of painting historically associated with women and often regarded as a "minor" genre. Likewise, embroidery and sewing—practices inherited from the women in my family—were long understood as domestic crafts rather than artistic expressions. These paintings seek to challenge those hierarchies, recognizing the aesthetic, emotional, and cultural value of these inherited forms of making.
